Cancer-Free!

It's been a year......a great year! I decided to go to Dr. Cavelcant. 2 people recommended him. And my father went to him, before he passed away from Lymphoma about 10 years ago. Dr. Cavelcant remembered him, and my brother, Ray, of course, who always took such good care of him. I REALLY like this doctor! He looked over my records and agreed with Dr. Persky's suggestion to "Wait and Watch" instead of chemo! He also said if it comes back, it will be treatable. So he sent me for a CT scan and blood work. Everything came back great!!! Something interesting happened during the CT scan. I put a wash cloth over my face. I am claustrophobic and this way I don't know when I am in the "donut". (Thanks for the suggestion, Julie!). So I started sneezing. No big deal, who doesn't sneeze once in awhile? I thought it might be because of the soap in the cloth covering my face. The lady asked if I'd been sneezing. No. She said I might be allergic to the iodine that was shot in me through the IV. So when we were done, she kept looking at me and asking if I was still stuffed up, or clearing up. She called a nurse to look at me. They decided they didn't want me to leave until I was clear, so they gave me Benadryl in the IV, I sat and read for while, and Tannis had to come and pick me up. I went home and crashed!
